You can't go in between because of the lack of space on the dumbbell bar. The only issue with these that I have is that you're going to have to jump up from say 10 pounds to 20, to 30, to 40. I have slammed these on concrete flooring in my basement, dropped heavy weight during super sets, and the plates still look brand new. In terms of reliability, it can hold up to anything. The bar is interesting, it comes in 2 pieces and you need to put them together by beating them on the ground, and once you do the spikes inside don't allow you to take it apart. The curling barbell is around 4-5 pounds, while the dumbbells are negligible so when you want to write down or remember how much weight you did, just count the plates NOT the bar. You get 6 standard-bar (1 inch diameter) clamps, 2 dumbbell 1 ft. The set came in an unmarked, poorly packaged box that the UPS man could barely carry to the door, but that doesn't matter because in the box is everything that it comes with - just like the picture. This should really just be an upper-body set, as I have been using it, because unless you're really a new lifter or older folk, then this 105 pounds will not be enough for you. If you want a set for eye candy that looks good hanging on your $1000 power rack, then look elsewhere. In all honesty, you should be buying this to treat it rough and get your workout in, and just that. But I can easily purchase that elsewhere! The only thing I would have preferred is to have 2.5 lb weights because I'm a beginner and that's the weight that I need for warm-up and for my shoulders. And the price seems to be the best one out there for everything you're getting.
But in terms of functionality and the product arriving and a good condition undamaged and with everything included it was. Yes, the weights were dirty when they arrived it would have been nice if they were cleaner. I will say one of the clips is a little bit tight but I probably won't ever use the dumbbells at the same time.
I worked out with the set yesterday to the program that I've been using and had no problems. I will through the reviews and my set came complete I got six clips I got the bar I got all the weights. Honestly I'm not sure what other people's concerns have been. Reviewed in the United States on November 16, 2019 Everything was included that was promised and it shipped very quickly
